Last Friday a group of us from the ward ventured up to San Francisco for a night at the opera...kind of. The Giants stadium hosted a broadcast of the opera Lucia de Lammemoor and it was free for people to come sit in the outfield, enjoy a picnic and a night of fine art. We rode the Cal-Train up (thinking it would save money, but it ended up being more expensive), and carried with us blankets, a tarp, a delicious picnic, and many water bottles (there ended up being 15 total!)
The opera was very dramatic, which made it easy to make fun and enjoy.
